It must be the goal of every Cooper's hawk nestling to be first to escape the nest. Every year, one bold chick climbs to the edge of its known world to peer in awe at the vast beyond.

They won't look much like ducks in a few days, but we'll call them Huey, Dewey and Louise, to honor old pal Uncle Donald. You do remember Donald Duck's mischevous nephews, don't you? No doubt our young cooplets will be just as much fun!
